San Fernando Valley Local Elder Abuse Prevention Enhanced Multidisciplinary Team (LEAP EMDT) Initiative

Darryl S. Neier, MS, CFE, CECFE (Managing Director of DLG Accounting and Advisory Services) has been named as a liaison member to the San Fernando Valley Local Elder Abuse Prevention Enhanced Multidisciplinary Team (LEAP EMDT) and will be responsible for forensic/investigative accounting.

Mr. Neier is joining Dignity Health Northridge Hospital Medical Center (NHMC), Valley Care Community Consortium (VCCC), Alzheimer’s Association Southland Chapter, ONEgeneration, Southern California and Neuropsychology Group to improve the provisioning of services for victims of elder abuse. 


Mission of LEAP EMDT

LEAP EMDT’s works to put an end to the mistreatment and exploitation of older adults and provide integrated services to seniors who are victimized or vulnerable. We bring together local experts from diverse disciplines to jointly respond to the needs of these seniors, develop best practices, and train our community to identify and intervene before a senior is ever abused.


Mr. Neier stated “research has shown that 1-10 Americans aged 60+ have experienced some form of elder abuse, adding that 5 million elders are abused each year. I am honored to be part of an outstanding group of professionals with the common goal of putting an end to the mistreatment and exploitation to our most venerable population”.
